A proud native of Atlanta , I received my BBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia in 1987. I have had the privilege and pleasure of spending over 16 years in Atlanta’s healthcare community assisting hospitals and physicians with marketing, practice start-up, credentialing, insurance contracting, and management training.
In 2002, I discovered the field of professional organizing while reading a home improvement magazine. As a person who organizes closets for fun and devours personal improvement books in my spare time, I was thrilled to learn that such a career existed. It was then that the idea of starting my own company began to grow.
Then in 2003 at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After completing surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, I decided that I was no longer willing to wait until "after retirement" to pursue my dream of starting my own company. So in 2005, I founded my professional organizing firm, Creative Order.
As the business has grown, I have added additional Professional Organizers to my team. And in 2008, I became a graduate of the ICF-accredited Coach for Life program and began incorporating Life Coaching into the services offered by Creative Order. With humor and patience, we teach creative, resourceful people how to identify and eliminate the clutter in their lives so that they have the time, space, and energy to pursue their passions.
And as a cancer survivor who has truly thrived following treatment, I also seek to use life coaching to help other survivors of adversity to pursue their own joy, bliss, and life's purpose. I am available as a trainer and motivational speaker and am a member of the International Coach Federation and the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO).
In my precious spare time, I love working up a sweat by bicycling, hiking and gardening . I also enjoy collecting mid-century modern artifacts for my Decatur home and am a fan of live music and drive-in movie theatres.
